BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Working as part of a wider Corporate Sales Team your role will be creating and developing new
sales opportunities and setting meetings through outbound cold calls, email/social media
campaigns and inbound marketing/lead follow-up.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a talented, confident, and competitive person, not necessarily with experience
of working within the corporate travel sector, but someone who can adapt quickly, listen intently,
and work equally as hard on their own or as part of the team.


As Business Development Executive you will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious
customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, logging and recording activity in Salesforce, generating interest, qualifying
opportunities, understanding customer needs, and allocating meetings to the sales team.


• Open to graduates with minimal experience
• Experience in Salesforce, LinkedIn, telesales, or any sales background is desired but not
essential
• A background in the travel industry is desired but not essential
• Responsible for assisting with compliance to Reed & Mackay’s certification programmes and
policies
• Excellent verbal / written communications skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize, and
manage time effectively

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research accounts, identify key players and generate new leads (10 per day)
• Set 10 prospect meetings a month (first 6 months, 12 thereafter)
• Make a minimum of 70+ calls per day
• Contact and update historic leads that have not been touched for 3 months (10 per day)
• Strategically look at current client base and target competitor companies
• Manage and maintain the CRM tool (Salesforce) and expand your database of prospects
• Attend industry events/trade shows
• Collect competition updates and general information
