REPORTING TO: INTERNATIONAL FARES MANAGER

ROLE SUMMARY

This position is a full-time role to deliver and support all fares & ticketing requirements. The main role of a Fares & Ticketing Consultant is to assist our Business Travel operations team with a variety of tasks for our consultants based in head office, our implant teams and home workers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Check and process ticket re-issue’s and fare calculations
  • Manually build fare constructions such when itineraries do not auto price
  • Answer internal ticketing queries by phone and email
  • Assist BT consultants with understanding of nett fare rules and restrictions
  • Ensuring airlines fares are loaded correctly and liaising with airlines to rectify if not
  • Assist Accounts/Operations with ADM inspection

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Proficient knowledge of IATA airfare construction
  • Recognised industry qualifications (BA1&2, VA1&2)
  • Knowledge of US Ticketing & Commissions an advantage
  • A good working knowledge of the GDS preferably Sabre
  • Extensive geographical knowledge
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong organisation skills – able to plan, co-ordinate and organise effectively
  • Self-motivated, patient and disciplined
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • The ability to work under pressure and take responsibility for decision making
  • Ability to make effective use of resources available to complete tasks to agreed deadline
  • Quality control across all aspects of our procedures

INTERNAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for assisting with compliance to Reed & Mackay’s certification programmes and policies.
