POSITION: INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER (12 MONTH FIXED-TERM CONTRACT – MATERNITY COVER)
REPORTING TO: HEAD OF BRAND MARKETING

You will bring energy, expertise, and creative flair, helping to achieve our ambitious objectives by driving employee engagement and advocacy. A natural storyteller, you will have experience building a compelling narrative and in effectively delivering employee messaging with proven engagement across internal channels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help to create a best-in-class internal communication strategy to fuel employee engagement, influence connectivity and culture, and positively impact our offices across the globe.
- Ensure organisational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders.
- Partner with HR to bring to life the employee brand and value proposition to attract and retain talent.
- Work with colleagues to create and maintain content for employee communication channels bringing to life the stories that make up the fabric of Reed & Mackay.
- Plan, and create content for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as the employee intranet, weekly newsletter, managers messaging toolkit, Microsoft Teams bulletins, global and regional All-Hands / Business Updates.
- Own Company All-Hands/ Business Update messaging and event organisation, from concept to speaker briefings, to slide creation in partnership with Brand, to Tech set up in partnership with the Tech team.
- Partner with the Senior Manager, Global PR, and Media Relations to ensure internal comms align with the external narrative and that our employees are always the first to hear news.
- Draft messages or scripts for senior executives to present to employees in written or spoken form.
- Actively seek, consider, and respond to feedback from employees, adjusting communication content and approach accordingly.
- Partner with the Senior Manager, Global PR, and Media Relations to manage the internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organisational perception and reputation.
- Proactively measure and report on the engagement and impact of employee communication
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, you must be fluent in English, and French and/or German would be beneficial.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and ambitious for the team and the brand.
- Thrives on a deadline, works well under pressure, and manages multiple tasks with ease.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and good at distilling complex messages into impactful soundbites.
- Experience of working with and influencing senior executives / leadership.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- The intellectual rigour and creativity to make complex and sometimes technical subject matter compelling and accessible to all employees.
- A strong team player and lateral thinker, comfortable working collaboratively, virtually, and independently.
- Significant experience of internal/employee communications for large and complex organisations.
