The newly created Project Management office will be at the heart of the business and key in ensuring that projects are started and executed in order to deliver maximum benefit against R&M’s strategic goals and related vision and mission.
Due to the changing marketplace, coupled with our philosophy around continuous improvement, this role has been identified by Reed & Mackay as a key role moving forward.


This is a full-time role, based out of our central London Head office. The Project Manager will project manage various projects and initiatives running through the Project Management Office. This could include large scale global reach projects to more tailored UK centric project. You will be interacting with stakeholders across the business including members of the Leadership and Executive Teams.

You will have deep knowledge and experience in managing projects already and will be able to apply best practice techniques to a relatively new PMO Team. You’ll work within the company, helping to manage, change and plan for the future in line with the strategic goals and be a driver behind our continued growth and success.

You’ll need to demonstrate excellent understanding of the way the company works and the sector in which we operate, as you’ll be helping R&M to develop its functions, services, and products to meet goals with internal and external stakeholders.

You’ll also play a key role in communicating between internal departments and external parties, acting as a ‘translator’ where necessary to convey how the department can support the company’s needs.


  • Meeting with key stakeholders and management to identify project requirements, delivery timelines and costs
  • Developing detailed projects plans to guide the project team and stakeholders and revising based on changing needs and requirements
  • Identifying and assigning project tasks based on the skill sets, experience and strengths of staff members
  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments.
  • Monitoring project performance to ensure timely delivery
  • Compiling and submitting project status reports to the project team, stakeholders and management
  • Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate stakeholders, project team members and provide day to day contract on project status and changes


  • Previous experience in a project management role
  • Professional certification – including PMP / PRINCE II
  • Expert knowledge or evidenced experience in analysing requirements and business processes
  • Proficiency in inventory control and process improvement
  • Working knowledge of SmartSheet and other relevant project management applications
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and make hard decisions required to achieve project objectives
  • Strong Stakeholder Management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of the project lifecycle from feasibility through to Implementation and able to demonstrate a structured approach to allocated tasks
  • Experience in creating and maintaining requirements documentation
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Desired knowledge and experience of a project methodology such as Agile, Waterfall
  • Effective time manager, able to prioritise, meet deadlines and act upon own initiative
  • Ideally educated to graduate level


Reed & Mackay operate an agile working policy allowing for a blend of home and office based work. The expectation is that you would be office based 3 days a week as minimum. The core UK business hours are 09:00 – 17:30, however depending on business needs you’ll need a flexible approach to working extra hours when the need arises to meet the needs of our global business.


Responsible for assisting with compliance to Reed & Mackay’s certification programmes and policies.
