REPORTING TO: SVP, COMMERCIAL
OFFICE LOCATION: LONDON
Reed & Mackay are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded VP, Commercial / Commercial Director to join our Commercial organisation. Based in London and reporting directly to the SVP, Commercial, this role will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing R&M’s commercial strategy, driving revenue growth, and maximizing profitability. The ideal candidate will combine a strong understanding of our industry with exceptional leadership skills to drive forward our commercial efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement the company’s overall commercial strategy aligned with the company’s vision, goals, and market trends.
- Revenue Growth: Drive revenue generation through effective commercial strategies, stakeholder engagement, and expansion into new markets.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations to drive growth and deliver on company goals.
- Commercial Leadership: Provide strategic direction to the commercial team, setting ambitious targets, and ensuring consistent achievement of commercial goals.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer/supplier preferences to identify opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally, understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Financial Management: Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets/forecasts, pricing strategies, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and lead a high-performing commercial team, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and updates to the executive team on commercial performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. MA or equivalent preferred.
Proven track record in a senior commercial leadership role within the travel, travel technology, aviation and/or hospitality sectors.
