REPORTING TO: TEAM LEADER, OPERATIONS
The main role of a Corporate Travel Consultant is to build relationships and understand the needs of our clients while delivering a ‘high-touch’ service.
The role can be office-based for consultants in Philadelphia, New York, and Chicago, or home-based across all time zones and for out of hours consultants.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide a dedicated white-glove service to specific clients
- A desire to exceed the client expectation at all times
- To demonstrate proactive thinking when providing travel solutions
- Provide added value to clients through specialist supplier relationships
- Exceptional telephone communication with timed responses / call back
- Quality Control across all aspects of our procedures and processes
- Able to provide cost effective solutions across all aspects of travel
- To comply with the client policies and guidelines at all times
- To apply creative air fare / rail fare ticketing principles when applicable, for example
- split or combination ticketing
- To recommend and procure ancillary products as required
- To meet all deadlines as required, internally or client driven
- To adopt a learning attitude and attend relevant training / coaching as required
- Achieve individual and team-based objectives through the annual Performance Development Review (PDR)
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrate ability to make effective use of resources available to complete tasks to agreed deadlines
- Has achieved a continuous record of experience in a core business travel environment
- Minimum qualification level to Fares & Ticketing VAII (formally BA2)
- Fully conversant with one or all GDS systems; Sabre, Galileo, Amadeus
- Have a ‘team player’ approach to an office environment
- Experience in using MS Word and Excel software packages
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Sound knowledge of the travel industry
- Experience of US and International market
