PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager, this varied role requires a team player with a strong background in Tableau, SSRS skills would also be beneficial. The primary role of this position is to improve and support Reed & Mackay’s reporting requirements, including international reporting across the Group and its partner network. Reed & Mackay are going through an exciting and pivotal evolution in terms of business intelligence and a shift in the approach to how our clients interact with their data, this role will play a vital part in this progression.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Report creation using Tableau
- Drive the improvement of Reed & Mackay’s global BI including working with international partners
- Design and deliver reports for both internal and external customers
- Working closely with technology suppliers to deliver project implementation support
- Provide implementation support and testing of data
- Play an active role in new technology projects to enhance our business intelligence capabilities
- Operational support, data cleansing, data loading and problem solving
- Support internal, partner and client projects
- Contribute to the ongoing certification of our ISO:27001 (Information Security), ISO:22301 (Business Continuity), ISO:9001 (QMS) and PCI (Payment Card Protection) ISO 14001 (Environmental) certifications through the adoption of secure coding practices and security by design
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong IT skills, coupled with an analytical and numerate mind
- Knowledge of SQL Server 2012/2014/2016 database access, store procedures and SSIS
- Report writing and administration experience with BI tools
- Experience of working with Tableau
- Strong Excel skills and experience of working with CSV and TXT files
- An ability to identify and correct errors in data
- An enthusiastic and driven team player – your confidence and initiative will be key
- Proactive and positive, you will combine adaptability with an excellent work ethic and desire to learn
- The ability to analyse and resolve issues under pressure
- Professional verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management skills to deal with simultaneous multiple projects and time zones
