PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Based in the London office, the role will make a significant contribution to the Commercial Pricing function, delivering profitable pricing to Reed & Mackay clients and prospects in all areas of travel management and across all markets with a focus on margin management and client acquisition and retention.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To play a pivotal role for Reed & Mackay and its Partners in the development and success of the commercial pricing proposition
  • To deliver profitable pricing to Reed & Mackay’s clients and prospects in all areas of travel management and across all markets with a focus on margin management and client acquisition and retention
  • To provide information, analysis and advice to Reed & Mackay Commercial & Client Services to enable them to recognise and highlight opportunities for Reed & Mackay as well as deliver on objectives
  • To develop opportunities within the pricing to market Reed & Mackay Consultancy Services in line with overall strategy
  • To identify, scope and communicate internally new products and services to meet client needs
  • To develop and maintain an effective and professional relationship with key stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Ensure the communication strategy is managed effectively to drive results through accuracy of analysis and efficiency of delivery
  • Work closely with Commercial and Finance on applicable financial planning and performance reporting requirements
  • Take an innovative, forward thinking approach to value articulation and pricing strategies
  • Provide proactive and concise commercial analysis to internal stakeholders to support the strategic decision-making process and the meeting of internal objectives

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Highly motivated self-starter with a positive can-do attitude
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent numeracy skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, as well as experience in other Office applications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a numerical or scientific discipline, desirable but not essential
  • Fantastic interpersonal skills with the confidence and ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all times with a wide audience
  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrable ability to interpret data sources in order to identify areas of opportunities, problem solve and recommend solutions
  • A fast learner with the confidence to challenge the status quo and think outside the box
  • Time management and self-management skills and demonstrable consistency in meeting agreed deadlines / time-frames in a pressurised environment
  • Proven ability to work as an active and participating member of a team
