JOB PURPOSE:

  • Accurately issuing and exchanging of ARC USA/BSP UK, EMEA, APAC tickets
  • To play a pivotal role in the development and success of the International Fares & Ticketing Department in the US and applicable international locations
  • To support the development, continuous improvement and success of Reed & Mackay’s international product offering
  • To play a key role in the commercial development and success of Reed & Mackay internationally

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Check and process ticket re-issuances and fare calculations for US offices
  • Manually build fare constructions such as RTW fares or when itineraries do not auto price
  • Answer internal ticketing queries via phone, email and task management
  • Assist Corporate Travel Consultants with understanding of net fare rules and restrictions
  • Take full ownership of International Fares/product portfolio, delivering optimised point of sale solutions
  • Ensure the International Fares team knowledge is current and relevant at all times with a proactive sharing approach with other team members and the wider business
  • Continuously identify related products in the market and provide feedback to the Commercial and Product related functions

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A self-starter with an entrepreneurial approach and a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Results orientated
  • 5+ years International Fares and Ticketing experience with extensive knowledge of the US market
  • High level of commercial acumen with the ability make snap decisions under pressure
  • A robust analytical skill set, with a penchant for complex problem solving and thinking outside the box
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence and ability to communicate effectively, taking into consideration any potential commercial sensitivities that may exist
  • Time management skills and demonstrable consistency in meeting agreed deadlines / time-frames in a pressurised environment
  • A team player with experience of working in International teams
  • An independent thinker with the proven ability to work on your own initiative without the need for significant supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and a conscientious approach
  • Proficient knowledge of ARC airfare construction
  • Knowledge of US Ticketing & Commission contracts
  • A good working knowledge of the GDS, preferably Sabre
  • Extensive geographical knowledge
  • Self-motivated, patient and disciplined
  • The ability to work under pressure and take responsibility for decision making
  • Ability to make effective use of resources available to complete tasks to agreed deadline
  • Quality control across all aspects of Reed & Mackay’s procedures and processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook
